“Sail Away” by Connor Maguire Artist

My painting entitled “Sail Away” has been selelected for the RUA – Royal Ulster Academy and will be exhibited in the Ulster Museum , Belfast, Co.Down, N.Ireland. Very fortunate to be selected to exhibit in the Royal Ulster Academy in the Ulster Museum in this years annual show 2019 , Delighted to have been able to exhibit 3 times in the past so honoured this will be my fourth time to exhibit in this prestigious exhibition.

I have only submitted one piece this year which is 90cm x 90cm which has been painted in oils entitled “Sail Away”. My first piece selected for in the RUA exhibition was in 2013 where my woodcut print entitled “Belfast Life” was selected to go on display followed by my oil painting entitled “Office Worker” which was on show in 2016.Once again I was very grateful to the Academy and lucky to get two of my paintings, “Barry” and “Lady with a secret” exhibited once more in the same show in 2017.

selected for the 138th Royal Ulster Academy Annual Exhibition at the Ulster Museum.The exhibition is open to the public from 18 October 2019 to 5 January 2020.

I am also producing limited edition signed prints of both “Sail Away” & “Portrait of a modern Family” which was previously exhibited in the National Gallery of Ireland earlier this year as part of the Zurich Portrait Awards.
