RHA-Royal Hibernian Academy-Dublin 2024

I was very fortunate to exhibit my painting entitled, “The Young Irishman” in the Royal Hibernian Academy in Ely Place, Dublin, 2024. The RHA is one of the biggest events of the year where artists throughout Ireland submit their work in the hope that they get that opportunity to hang their work on the walls in this prestigious gallery.

There is always that anxious anticipation when you get through the first stage. Then you have the second stage where the judges see the painting in the flesh. The whole process can take a month before anyone knows whether or not they have succeeded. This year I got in but have not always been successful in the past.

Absolutely delighted to hang my work alongside some of Irelands’ finest artists. Along with this news I was also given an ARUA – Associate Royal Ulster Academy Membership so pressure is on for next years submission along with other Exhibition entries.

I have attached some details below of tours of the Royal Hibernian Academy show. Gallery of photos of the private opening pictured also 🙂
